A United Caribbean at the Forefront of Peace
Advocating for peace in the Caribbean.
The Coalition of Caribbean Leaders for Peace was informally established in 2019, after Caribbean leaders gathered in Washington, D.C. to discuss peace initiatives and ways to strengthen peaceful relations within the Caribbean and internationally.
CCLP works to promote the rule of law and the importance of peace reinforced in international law by advocating the adoption of measures ensuring peace in national constitutions; to prevent violence through leveraging the power of civil society; and to spread the culture of peace by connecting youth to international leaders and global society and implementing peace education programs.
“I WANT TO PLEDGE MY SUPPORT FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE DPCV, WHICH I FIND TO BE THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE LEGAL FRAMEWORK THAT WILL SERVE TO SPREAD A ZONE OF PEACE WITHIN THE CARIBBEAN REGION AND ACROSS THE WORLD.”
FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF BELIZE, SAID MUSA | JULY 2019
