Recalling the spirit of the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the CCLP works toward the ultimate objective of overcoming the adverse consequences of war and building a peaceful world for the mutual development of humanity. 

All States share the responsibility to protect and promote the fundamental human rights stated in existing international instruments. As such, the coalition recognizes the importance of the rule of law in developing peace by advocating the adoption of mechanisms for peace in national constitutions and educating society, especially youth, to advance a culture of peace at the same time.
